Mt. Baruntse (7129m) is located in Makalu-Barun mountain region of eastern Nepal. Situated just in front of Mt. Makalu and in the center of three famous glacier valleys of the region:, it is surrounded by some highest peaks of the Himalaya like Makalu, Lhotse, and Nuptse. The Baruntse expedition is not technically challenging as neighboring mountains Amadablam and Pumori, although climbers should have a good experience of snow and ice climbing.
