Of course, every guide will tell you “they are all amazing!” or “it’s too hard to choose just one!” but we sat down with our guides and ask them to share a few of their favorite treks: the Everest Three Passes Trek and the Kanchenjunga Trek. Extreme but unforgettable!

Everest Three Passes Trek
This epic journey takes you on the full circuit of the Khumbu region. Reserved only for those who are adventurous enough to traverse three high passes (at 5535 meters, 5420 meters, and 5345 meters respectively). Recently, improvements in the trail have connected the classic Everest Base Camp Trek with the equally mesmerizing Gokyo Lakes Trek into the ultimate Everest adventure. The trail begins as most do in the region – with a trip the Namche Bazaar. From there, it’s a tough (but ultimately rewarding) climb over the Kongma La Pass (5535m).
Next stop, Everest Base Camp. Watch as trekkers prepare for their Everest Expeditions. At Kala Pattar, you get one of the best views of your life. Mount Everest, in all its majesty, lies right before your eyes. Still, the trek is only halfway finished. More amazement to come.
Cruise through Lobuche and Dzongla for a few days until you reach the next pass: Cho La (5420m). At any point from Dzongla to Cho La, the distinctive peak of Ama Dablam (6856m) lies within eyeshot. From here, it’s smooth sailing to Gokyo. The two days in Gokyo will be cherished for the rest of your life. The lakes adjacent to the guesthouse are mind-blowing. The turquoise water is unlike anything else in the world. The Renjo La Pass (5345m) is the last of the three. Feast your eyes on the tallest mountains in the world: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and more.
After years upon years of trekking in the Himalayas, one of our guides says this is his favorite mountain getaway. Walk across Earth’s ceiling and enjoy all that it has to offer!
Kanchenjunga Trekking
Few peaks are taller than the colossal Kanchenjunga (8586 meters / 28,169 feet). Like the Everest Three Passes Trek, the Kanchenjunga Trek is not for the faint of heart. It is a marathon of a journey that requires camping for many of the nights. Enjoy each part of the trek, from the hill journey through terraced fields, up to the rugged alpine landscapes at Pang Pema. Set up camp above the clouds, on the middle-of-nowhere sandy flat. If the sky is clear, Kanchenjunga appears with its rugged ridges and snowy peak.
Easily one of the best parts about the Kanchenjunga Trek is spending time with those who call the area home. In my experience, they are some of the kindest, most hospitable people in the country. Limbu people speak a language related to Tibetan. They have a mixture of Buddhist, Hindu, and animist beliefs and they make this area their home.
This is my favorite trek because of the diversity of landscapes. The trail starts by passing through subtropical jungles of rhododendron and oak forests up to a place where literally no vegetation exists. You’ve got terraced fields, lush forests, desolate alpine landscape, and spectacular mountain views, all in one trek. Every day is completely different from the day before and to me, that’s awesome!
We start taking Nepal Trekking booking for 2021, and 2022.
