Langtang is a narrow valley situated south of the Tibetan border. Tibetans and Tamangs, who share a similar religion, language, and attire, live there. A Langtang, Gosaikunda, and Helambu trek offers great diversity in nature, exciting ethnic groups, and culture. Langtang Trek is relatively less crowded than other classic trails like the Annapurna region and the Everest region.

This trek combines the remote and spectacular valley of Langtang, with the high mountain lakes at Gosaikunda. Langtang is one of the best trekking routes in Nepal because of the beautiful forests and very interesting villages of Sherpas, Tamang, with an abundance of wildlife, waterfalls, and a chance to bathe in hot springs. The Sherpa are quite distinct from the Sherpas of Everest Region, both in language and customs. Langtang region offers excellent views of mountains that include Langtang, the Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh, Gaurishanker, Rolwaling Range, and even Everest on a clear day. This trek is a pleasant and exciting journey, a time to relax and become immersed in the beauty of the Himalayas.

Langtang, Gosaikunda, and Helambu trek starts from Syabrubes after an 8-hour scenic ride from ancient city Kathmandu. Following the Trisuli River north of Kathmandu, we travel through Trisuli Bazaar and Dhunche to Syabrubensi, a Sherpa village located at the very edge of Langtang National Park. Kyangin Gompa, where we stop overnight, is famous for local yak cheese and Gompa. Gosaikunda Lake and alpine yak pasture of Kyangin Gompa, while the mountain views are genuinely inspiring. Over the years, this Gosainkunda Lake has become one of the holy pilgrimage sites for Shamans, the traditional witch doctors, as well as many Hindu and Buddhist devotees.

          Trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel

          Embark on a 5-6 hour trek from Syabrubesi to Lama Hotel. Descend to the Bhote Koshi River and follow the Langtang Khola. Enjoy the scenic beauty of the Langtang Valley. Keep an eye out for fascinating wildlife like red pandas and monkeys. Arrive at the Lama Hotel, a peaceful oasis surrounded by lush forests and the soothing sounds of the nearby river.

            Trek from Lamahotel to Langtang Village

            Depart Lama Hotel after breakfast and embark on a trek through cool rhododendron and oak forests. Ascend gradually until reaching a gorge, then follow the Trishuli River to the charming village of Ghore-Tabela. Rest in Ghore-Tabela, surrounded by pine, hemlock, and rhododendron forests. Continue your trek, passing through alpine woodlands and ascending to Langtang village. Enjoy the stunning views of the towering Langtang Himal, the majestic peak that dominates the northern landscape.

              Trek from Langtang Village to Kyanjin Gompa

              Embark on a challenging trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3870 meters). Ascend through high-altitude landscapes and enjoy panoramic views of the Langtang range. Visit the Kyanjin Gompa monastery and explore the nearby cheese factory. For the adventurous, consider hiking to the moraine or Kyanjin Ri for even more breathtaking vistas.

                Trek down Back to Lama Hotel

                Retrace your steps on a 6-7 hour descent to Lama Hotel. Follow the same trail you took uphill, passing through rhododendron forests and descending to the Langtang Valley and Ghore-Tabela. Continue your descent, following the Trishuli River until you reach the Lama Hotel, where you'll spend the night and rest after your rewarding journey.

                  Trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru

                  Depart Lama Hotel and embark on a 1-hour trek to a bridge, passing through bamboo and rainforest landscapes. Cross the river and ascend through rocky terrain and terraced farmlands.

                  After a 5-6 hour trek, reach Thulo Syabru (2250 meters), a charming village with a nearby monastery. Explore the peaceful surroundings and enjoy a leisurely walk to the monastery, which also features a helipad.

                    Trek from Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa

                    Leave Thulo Syabru and travel to Sing Gompa, which is located at 3254 meters. Continue uphill on twisting slopes, increasing height as you pass the Upper Syabru Monastery. Savor amazing vistas of the Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh-Himal, and Langtang mountain ranges in the far west.

                    Before continuing your climb, stop for refreshments at a teahouse. As you ascend higher, take in the change from warm farmlands to refreshing alpine forests. Arrive in a picnic meadow with multiple teahouses.

                      Trek from Sing Gompa to Gosainkunda

                      Embark on a challenging trek to Gosainkunda (4381 meters), a sacred Hindu pilgrimage site. Ascend through diverse landscapes and enjoy breathtaking views of the Langtang, Ganesh-Himal, Manaslu, and Annapurna ranges. Witness the spiritual ambiance and the influx of devotees during the full moon in August.

                        Cross over the Laurebina Pass (Gosainkunda Pass) and Descend to Ghopte

                        Cross Laurebina Pass (4600 meters), the highest point of your trek. Descend through diverse landscapes, including forests and meadows. Enjoy breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. Arrive at Ghopte (3440 meters), a charming village offering a peaceful respite.

                          Trek from Ghopte to Kutumsang

                          Depart Ghopte and embark on a 5-6 hour trek to Kutumsang. Enter the Helambu region, a popular trekking route leading to Kathmandu. Ascend through alpine forests and reach Tharepati (3,597 meters), a ridge offering stunning views of the Jugal Himalayan range and the Ganesh-Manaslu Himal. Enjoy a lunch break at Tharepati before descending to Mangeghot, a picturesque village with grassy fields and an army barrack. Continue your trek through farm fields, villages, and forested areas.

                          Arrive at Kutumsang (2,445 meters), a charming village that is primarily Sherpa and Tamang people.

                              Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal and Drive to Kathmandu.

                              Descend from Chisapani to Sundarijal, passing through forests and farmlands. Enjoy stunning views of Kathmandu Valley. Drive to Kathmandu, passing the iconic Boudhanath stupa.
