The thing that still amazed you about Nepal.
The mountains and the people.
By Sophia | Dec 29, 2019The countryside (as a keen gardener, I was fascinated to see what was grown in the small terraced fields), the culture, the people, the history, the mountains. In no particular order.

What was your favorite food in Nepal?
momo's, Dal, Bhat
By Sophia | Dec 29, 2019The vegetable curry that was made in our Home Stay in Ghandruk by our guides and my daughter. Delicious! The chips in the Tea Houses were great (I seemed to yearn for a lot of carbs). In fact, the Tea House food was very good and I liked the cheesy food (pizzas etc) The dahl baht is good, but would have liked more spice and curry.

When did you visit Nepal, and what made you go Nepal?
I visit Nepal in 2008, 2009 and 2013. My friend started a school in a mountain village called Chimding. A couple years ago I decided to visit the school and teach English classes.
By Sophia | Dec 29, 2019April 2017. I had wanted to visit for many years. I had a great interest in climbing when I was young and read mountaineering books. I wanted to walk in the foothills, see the rhododendron forests and, of course, the mountains, the countryside and the people
