Great small trekking company with lots of knowledge about the area. Indra and Mekraj were great guides for our 3 passes trek for 14 days. They have done it many times before, so they know the lodges and where the great food is. We went in the off-season (Nov–Dec), so lots of lodges were very quiet and felt homely.
Most of our group used porters for some of our gear, which helped a lot during the strenuous days of the trip.
Overall, I would recommend a company like this over the bigger groups such as Intreped, as it can be altered as you go for your own pace and interests rather than a very set route and schedule.

Nepal did not disappoint! I loved this trek through the Shivapuri National Park up to Chisopani, on to Nagarkot, then to Nala. 3 days and 2 nights that get you away from the city and into the jungle. You can't beat seeing the local villages first hand to get an understanding of the resilience of the Nepalese people. Our guide and porter were brilliant, they looked after us to ensure our trip was a success. Sunrise in the Himalayas is magical.Booking was easy, even though this was a bespoke private tour. A quick message on the webchat, then Nirajan followed up on whatsapp to arrange everything. Highly recommend and will be using Rugged Trails Nepal next time we visit.

I had a great trip and we had nice clear views which am grateful for. Indra (my guide) was great, he obviously has a lot of experience, let me go my pace, and seemed to always be looking out for me. Very attentive! He was really helpful I felt very comfortable trekking with him. Very knowledgeable, keeping an eye on the view, etc so I could go out and get a good picture of that kind of thing. 

Thank you, Rugged Trails, for helping me to feel every emotion a human being has ever felt and for locating all the hiking supplies—even shoes—at the last minute in Kathmandu. My Name is Jane, I wanna share with you my experience so far with Rugged Trails Nepal. I started off at Ulleri taking the ghorepani trek all the way to moving into second trek called Mardi Himal. I have to say from the very begging of the trek, Nirajan have been super super accommodating giving all the information  for the traveling and I meet my Guide Shrawan who is been super super helpful not just interns of guiding but also he picks up on your personal sort of treat character. He actually help me to tailor the trip as I only supposed to do the Mardi Himal. He thought I will also enjoy the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek which was amazing. All I can say is the view, the scenes every corner you turn you got experience something that, I don’t know you if you have seen before for me I have never seen anything like these before. All I just can say in one sentence is that Money can’t buy these. It is an out of the world experience, it has been such a interesting but also such a rewarding experience for me. If you are considering the annapurna region, Nepal the Ghorepani Poon Hill Mardi Himal Trek or anywhere else ABC or any of the other annapurna treks highly recommended. If you into the lush, the forest, the greens and all that definitely the place to be. I think I have really cleans my lung being here, I am a person that I was Korean but lives in Dubai. If you are anywhere desert or Middle Eastern region definitely something that you come and enjoy and get a life time experience that you can talk about to your families, to your next generation so on. Yeah, if you are into it and or if you are looking into it take a leave. 

My friend and me have the best experience with their service in our 8 days trip in Nepal including short Mardi Himal Trek. Nirajan support us with the warmest heart and kind. We love to come back next year

Our Khopra Danda trek was amazing! We spent great days with our guide called Indra who was very friendly, helpful and professional. Also, the porter was very kind. The owner Nirajan was very helpful talking via WhatsApp helping us to prepare the trek the days before. We booked it via online and met with him in Kathmandu.

I was traveling as a solo woman and Rugged Trails Nepal organized my trekking trip to Tengboche (short Everest view trek) and a couple of city tours in Kathmandu. Indra was my guide during my trekking trip and he was the most helpful and nice person. Nirajan made my travel experience a really good one and help me with everything that I asked for. I completely recommend this agency for any trekking trip in the Himalayas and for a solo woman.
