Travel in the Himalayas is a privilege. To protect the fragile environments and rich traditions of Nepal, we ask our guests to commit to the following principles:
Zero Single-Use Plastic: Carry reusable water bottles/bladders and treat water using SteriPens, purification tablets, or teahouse-provided boiled water. Support our movement with greenaction.org.np to eliminate plastic waste in the mountains.
Pack It In, Pack It Out: Leave no trace. Carry all non-biodegradable trash (batteries, wrappers, and plastic) back to major towns for proper disposal. Use eco-friendly, biodegradable soaps away from natural streams.
Respect Local Culture & Sacred Spaces: Pass Mani stones, chortens, and prayer wheels on the right side (clockwise). Dress modestly in mountain villages and always ask permission before taking personal photographs.
Ethical Trekking & Crew Care: We guarantee fair wages, proper equipment, safe weight limits, and medical insurance for all our guides and porters. Treat your mountain crew with dignity and respect.
Protect Flora & Fauna: Stay on designated paths to prevent erosion. Maintain a quiet presence, do not disturb wildlife, and never pick flowers or plants along the trail.
Conserve Mountain Energy: Opt for group meals to save teahouse fuel, choose solar hot showers where available, and minimize the use of wood-fueled heaters in high-altitude lodges.
