Rugged Trails Nepal offers daily mountain flights through Buddha Air, Yeti Air, Simrik Air, and other airlines from Kathmandu Domestic Airport in the early morning for one hour's worth of spectacular mountain scenery. Once the flights head toward the Himalayas, you can see the views of Shisha Panga (8,013 m), Dorje Lapka (6,966 m), and to the right, Dorje Lakpa Ghyachu.
As the flight moves closer and closer, you can see Choba-Bhamare (5,933 m) and the spiritually holy mountain Gauri-Shanker (7,134 m). Shiva and Gauri are protected by this mountain and have a history of unsuccessful attempts. Closer to the rising sun, glorious mountains follow: Melungtse (7,023 m), Chugimago (6,297 m), Number (6,511 m), and Cho-Oyu (8,201 m), the 8th highest mountain in the world. Gyanchungkang (7,952 m) is extremely difficult to climb. Next to the Gyanchungkang is Pumori (7,161 m); getting closer to Everest, we can see Nuptse's (7,855 m) west peak, signifying its direction from Everest. After views and taking snaps of various mountains, finally you can see the world's highest point on Earth, Mt. Everest (8,848 m), known as Sagarmatha and Chomolungma by Tibetans.
