The Rara Lake is the centerpiece of the Rara National Park, lies at an altitude of 2,990m (9,810ft) above sea level and also an ideal location for the bird watcher. Nepal's largest lake, Rara Lake is 5km long and 3km wide, its maximum depth at 167km. The area around the Lake itself is a heaven on earth.
