Let’s not call the Khopra Danda is newly opened trek route in the Annapurna region. Already been 5 years but very fewer people heard about the trek. When trekking in Nepal comes, it’s like Everest Base Camp! Or Annapurna Circuit something similar and most popular. In the Annapurna region, we can still call Khopra Danda off-beaten trails because of fewer tea houses at some point. Rugged Trails Nepal short trek to Khopra danda starts from Pokhara and ends at Pokhara. Most of the popular trekking routes, such as Ghorepani and Muktinath, are spoiled because of road construction, so the Khopra Danda or Mohare Danda trekking routes are the alternative trekking routes to see natural beauty.

The stunning views of Mt. Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri,  Annapurna I, II, III, South, Lamjung, Hiunchuli, and Machhapuchhre (fishtail) Himalayas are the main highlights of the trek. During the springtime, you can see the amazing Rhododendron forest and also the wildlife while trekking. The Khayar Lake itself is another attraction of this trek, which is at 4,827 m. Autumn is another the best time to travel in Nepal and from September to November we can see beautiful landscaped paddy and millet farms. We can see Yaks gazing around the hills, especially in the summer, monsoon, and autumn. Ghorepani is another attraction of the trek, which is one of the famous viewpoints for the Himalayan ranges and also for sunrise and sunset.

The short Khopra Danda Trek starts after driving from Pokhara to Ghandruk village. We are skipping a day walk from Nayapul to Ghandruk because we will be walking by the roadside. To make the trip shorter and to skip the dusty and muddy roads, we will take a Jeep drive up to Ghandruk village and then trek to Tadapani. The drive will be quite exciting because the roads are bumpy and rugged. On this trek, we are completely skipping the roads, and the trek from Tadapani, Bayeli Kharka, Swanta Khopra Danda, Swanta, and Ghorepani to Ulleri will be proper trekking routes. From Ulleri, we will drive back to Pokhara instead of walking by the roadside.

If you are looking for a complete trek package that starts from Kathmandu and ends in Kathmandu, then we have another long trip package that follows here (Khopra Danda Trekking ) To arrange the Short Khopra danda trek permits, we need one working day. If you are in a group and looking for a better price and service, we request you to book in advance. Khopra danda trek can be organized all year, but during the mid-winter, if there will be heavy snowfall weather, then we will not organize the trip.

Best Time to Trek Short Khopra Danda in 2025

The best season to trek to Khopra Danda depends on a number of factors, including your personal preferences and the length of your vacation. In general, the best trekking season in Nepal is from September to November and from March to May, when the weather is relatively dry and mild.

During the autumn season (Mid September to November End), the weather is generally sunny and warm during the day, with clear skies and cool nights. This is a great time to trek in the Khopra Danda Annapurna region, as the views are often clear and the trails are dry.

The spring season (March to May) is another good time to trek to Short Khopra Danda. The weather is warmer, with clear skies and pleasant temperatures. The rhododendron flowers are in bloom, adding to the beauty of the trek.

The Winter season (December to February) It is possible to trek to Khopra Danda (ridge), but the weather can be very cold, with temperatures dropping below freezing at night. The trails may also be slippery, and the views may be obscured by fog. The trek plan might be changed at the last minute because of the heavy snowfall.

Due to the rain, the monsoon season (June to August) is typically not the best time to trek to Khopra Danda, but when the weather clears up after the rain, the vistas are just breathtaking. Be prepared to encounter a large number of leeches along the journey.

About 5 to 6 hours of trekking are spent each day, with several breaks for lunch and tea as well as photo opportunities of the magnificent mountain scenery. The trek trails to Khopra Danda are somewhat uphill and downhill but not particularly steep.

This journey may be finished by hikers who can go 5 to 6 hours each day at a reasonable pace while carrying only a small daypack. It takes physical effort to trek at higher elevations. You should be in excellent health, have average physical condition, and have a strong sense of commitment to finish this day-long Khopra Danda trek.

WIFi and Communication on Short Khopra Danda Trek

Internet access is available at teahouses for an additional fee while on the Short Khopra Danda Trek. Showers and drinking water are not included in the price of the trip, so they might cost anywhere from $1 to $4, depending on where we are.
