The next day’s destination is Sarangkot, famous in Nepal for its sweeping view of Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167 meters), Machhapucchhare (6997 meters), Annapurna II (7937 meters), and Lamjung Himal (6983 meters). In and around Sarangkot, there are several sweet viewpoints. There is the viewing tower, though if it's crowded, we take a short walk to some lesser-known spots. The views at sunrise and sunset are most spectacular. The transformation of color illuminated on the mountains is almost supernatural—the kind of thing that turns non-believers into believers.
Weave your way through terraced hills, reflecting on the awe-inspiring beauty you have witnessed over the past several days. The trail ends at Phewa Lake, from where we can walk or drive further to Pokhara. This lakeside city is an experience in and of itself. Experience its laid-back vibe as you stroll along the lakeside.
